Bar owner Marc Duval (Gilles Lellouche) who lives in Gibraltar becomes an informant for French customs out of financial trouble and soon finds himself in great danger... Based on true events GIBRALTAR (original title) tells the story about betrayal: everybody in this does either get betrayed or/and actively betrays people. It's ironic that in the end the criminal world offers more trust and integrity than the law and the movie does acknowledge it. Julien Leclercq tells the story as a grim drama which mostly resorts to tension out of constellation of characters which works well as the cast is pretty great with Tahar Rahim easily stealing the movie.
